Welcome to Galadriel Waters' New Clues to Book 6 Forum!
This forum is organized to explore Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. We use threads provided by WWP’s own Galadriel Waters for a structural framework and WWP’s Rules of Constant Vigilance for our tools. However, discussions are broad and creative, and may certainly disagree with any WWP theories. It’s safe to say you’ve never been in a forum quite like this one—even if you came here straight from the original New Clues Forum!
Our aim is a community exploration of J. K. Rowling’s buried clues within the Harry Potter mystery series. Due to the limitations of the format and space within the forum, we have to restrict ourselves to posting discussions and evidence that help in the solving of the listed topics. We don’t use forums for chatting, and we don't include fanfiction (much as we love it elsewhere!) in the forums. We use the forums for Sleuthing. We welcome any and all theories tied firmly and closely to citeable evidence (canon) in Book 6—indeed, in any of Rowling’s books. While we understand that many a destination has been reached by detour, try not to stray so far that you can’t find your way home.
For a further explanation of this, apply to any Moderator (click on any "Moderators" link in the chapters list on the main page of the forum). Actually, whenever in doubt on the forum, ask a Mod—they love to help.
We would appreciate your attention to the following items of forum etiquette:
We will be covering all 30 chapters in Book 6—please address the topics as they arise, rather than skipping ahead. We’ll talk about everything, because, well, that’s what we do. Just wait till it comes up.
We think you’ll find the theories and insights of your fellow sleuths fascinating reading. Please indulge yourself before contributing. Since we will eventually have 30 chapters worth of threads, we’re trying to avoid saying the same thing over and over. To that end our Moderators have been instructed to remove repetitive posts, smileyposts, or one-liners lacking in new content.
While constructive criticism is welcomed on WWP’s theories and others’ suggestions, derogatory/personal comments will be removed by a Moderator and may result in your removal from the forums. Nobody likes a troll, people. Don’t be one—and let the Mods and Admins deal with it if one shows up (feel free to call trollishness to their attention).
The WWP’s Rules of Constant Vigilance are not permitted to be quoted verbatim by any person onto these forums, although they may be referenced numerically for support of theories. The Rules are a key feature of WWP’s sleuthing system and true HP Sleuths should know them already.
Forums are opened weekly, by chapter, on Friday night between 6 and 7 PM US EST, approximately. Because of the nature of this medium, we respect your right to your opinion. However, because MuggleNet owns the medium, the right is reserved to remove content found objectionable or inappropriate. This includes but is not limited to sexually graphic depictions, religious discussions, political discussions, and topics about or related to the use of illegal narcotics or associated paraphernalia.
The Harry Potter phenomenon is unique, as are the Harry Potter fans of the world. MuggleNet and WWP look forward to celebrating the event that is Harry Potter with you.
Happy Sleuthing!
