I loved everything in the book, but my favorite parts were:
When Harry told everyone that he trusts them
The final battle scene, and how Voldemort died, which I'm sure EVERYONE was anticipating during the whole book
The epilogue. It was really sweet. Not to mention the fact that the trio's and Malfoy's kids basically scream out "sequel!" o.o;
Ron hitting Malfoy for being ungrateful
Narcissa Malfoy not giving away Harry
Harry meeting everyone he loves for the last (?) time
How Harry is willing to march to his own death to protect everyone else
Hermione pwning Umbridge
Oh, there are many parts I love. But the whole book is phenomenal. Although I have to say, Voldemort flying and being able to have a whole village hear him without screaming is a bit cheesy o.o; _________________ It might even be painless. I would not know, I have never died.

Someone else may have mentioned this, but after reading HP and LV's final duel, you really must read Rudyard Kipling's "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi" story again (you can find it easily on the net as it is in the public domain now, I think). You will see how very exactly she...well, let's say (as they do in the movie world) writes an homage to Kipling's valiant little mongoose (related to ferrets, weasels, otters and others of the slinky set. If you've ever had a ferret, you know what crazy critters they be...but very valiant in relation to their size). My ferrets took on my cats constantly, to the great irritation of the cats. We had snakes, too, but the two were thankfully never given an opportunity to mix (the house was messy enough to begin with).
Rikki-Tiki-Tavi. _________________ I think, therefore I am. Or therefore, I think I am? Or do I think? Or do I am? Do I? I do?! What? No, WAIT! There is an answer...hmmm. oh, shoot, of COURSE, Chapter 28... my...how I can empathize with those who have been turned upside down...repeatedly

quote: Originally posted by Jordan: One of the things I found most touching was Narcissa, the way she lied to Voldy that Harry was dead just to get to Draco and in the end when her and Lucius were sitting in the corner with him after the battle.
The saddest chapter I found was Prince's Tale with Snape.
I agree with the above. For several weeks (regarding the latter) I would wake up at 5 am and think about it and cry and regarding the former (the Malfoy family) I think it sent a message that Narcissa's love for her son, Draco's love for his parents (plus his "bemused" look when Ron punched him invisibly and said words to the effect that "we already saved your tail once, you two-fsced git") and the fact that both Narcissa and her son loved Lucius enough (why?) to try to help...that (groan) Love really Conquers All.
Not Hate, altho you can use Love to engender Hate, but Hate as being much more corrupting than Love. If you can love, you can see what is good or meaningful in what appears otherwise appalling. (not to justify vicious or cruel acts, as in Voldemort's case...as a self-centered revenge...)
As JKR wrote a heartfelt morality tale (not intending to) I think that is her ultimate theme/msg, and why it is so very universal in nature. _________________ I think, therefore I am. My favourite part was going back to Hogwarts. It was like going home. I loved how originally Harry was going there purely to get the horcrux, but then when he realised how much support he had and how much it meant to everyone he decided to fight. That was the moment of the book for me, when everyone came together to fight.
