just a random thought, but i was reading PoA again, and i noticed that in the trio's first divination lesson, Trelawney says...

"Many witches and wizards, talented though they are in the area of loud bangs and smells and sudden disappearings, are unable to penetrate the veiled mysteries of the future."

coincidence..?

not with JKR.

I think that the prophecy could have very well hinted at that. Let's face it, JK's very careful with her wording and what she puts in books and what she dosn't (with the exceptionof the Mark Evans thing, but everyone's entitled to a few mistakes, aren't they?)

Perhaps Harry will find a way to communicate with the dead, much like a seance (sp) or something. Or perhaps Sirius will come to Harry in his dreams. He isn't alive, but we're not entirely sure if he's dead either. He's just trapped on the other side of the veil.

But isn't death really just being 'trapped' on the other side of the veil, if the veil is the barrier between the land of the living and the land of the dead?

I find it odd that out of the three that have seen someone die(Harry, Luna and Neville)only 2 of them(Harry and Luna)can hear beyond the veil.

I have no idea why can they hear, what they really are hearing or what the veil is, but atleast we know that you don't have to see some die to hear the voices.......Right Question
